Two-stage Snow Thrower

With wheel drive (track drive)

Our two stage snow throwers with wheel drive or track drive are perfect for clearing medium-sized and large areas. The auger feeds back to the rotor, which blows the snow out through the discharge chute (two stages). The wheel (track) drive is separate, so that the thrower keeps moving forward for constant snow-clearing.

MTD   Xtreme-Auger

All of the two stage snow throwers are equipped with MTD‘s unique „Xtreme-Auger“.The benefit: advanced technology for better performance. Instead of one shear pin per auger half, the „Xtreme-Auger“ has one shear pin in each individual Xtreme-Auger assembly. Each auger is equipped with a locking pin as overload protection. Maintenance costs are thus reduced appropriately. Snow and ice are „chopped“ up
by the auger blades before being fed into the impeller, which transfers the snow through the chute.

Impact Protection Shear bolt

The shear bolt connects the ”Xtreme-Auger” with the drive shaft. In case of unintended blocking of the ”Xtreme-Auger”, the shear acts as overload protection. After breaking of
the bolts, the ”Xtreme-Auger” is not activated anymore and consequently you prevent breakage of the turning parts. After the‚ exchange of the pin, the snow thrower is ready
for use again within a short time. This extends the long life-cycle of the machine and maintenance and repair costs are reduced to a minimum.

Skid Shoes

All of our two stage snow throwersare equipped with skid shoes, which allow you to adjust the working height and thus, clear snow off gravel, lawns and uneven terrain without damaging either the surface or the machine.
